We are an organization looking to give back to the community. Many graduating high school students leave school without knowing which fields of work interest them and what career opportunities they can strive towards. We hope to bridge this gap through Convergence.
Our Story
Convergence was founded in 2020 through the collaborative efforts of three students from the University of British Columbia based on a common goal. It was formed in partnership with Hugh McRoberts Secondary School and is funded by UBC Centre for Community Engaged Learning through the Connect to Community grant.
Our Goal
Our goal at Convergence is to educate high school students and aid them in finding passions that would drive their career choice. We aim to achieve this by giving students the chance to listen to presentations from members of the working community and university students with a strong passion towards a discipline.
